Mary Johnson, BS, is a Performance Coach at RTS and coordinates the Adult Fitness program. She is also a USATF level 1 certified running coach, and specializes in coaching running at all levels.
Mary graduated Cum Laude from Fairfield University in 2009 with a degree in Marketing. In college, she was on the D1 rowing team for 4 years and received the Max O’Meara Award for athletic and academic excellence as a senior. She still holds the school female erg record for both the 10k and 60-minutes and is the female course record holder for the Golden Hammer rowing/running event.
After college, Mary worked in the fashion industry in New York City for 6 years before realizing that her true passion lied in health and fitness. She trained at RTS before joining the staff in the fall of 2015. She currently runs marathons and the only time she has been injury-free is when she’s also lifting weights.
As a coach, she is passionate about helping others realize that exercise and training is an important part of a daily lifestyle–not just for athletes–but for everyone.
